Sydney Society Summer School celebrates 20 years

Sydney’s Classical Guitar Society Summer School celebrated its 20th anniversary on Sunday with a final concert that included the premiere of Richard Charlton‘s Journeys & Voyages which was commissioned for the occasion.¬† The expert Summer School staff included Richard Charlton, Tim Kain, Simon Powis, Oliver Fartach-Naini, Christopher Keane, and Raffaele and Janet Agostino.¬† In addition to Tim, attendees from Canberra included ANU School of Music student Andrew Blanch, new first-year students Keira Beattie and Binh le Tanh, Ciaran Edwards, David Buckley and Dan Sloss, and former Canberra resident Victor Matthews.¬† Attendees also came from Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Tasmania and Queensland.¬† The 20th anniversary also saw the launch of the Society’s new website at
