Musica Antica – Festival of Early Music

Join the ANU School of Music for Musica Antica, an inspiring and informative week of unique concerts, recital performances and lecture demonstrations celebrating the composers, playing techniques and music of the past.  www.music.anu.edu.au/earlymusicfest

During the Music Antica festival, international and national exponents and leaders in their artistic and academic fields, will be in Canberra (or via videoconferencing technology) treating audiences to a program full of jewels of music from the 18th and 19th century.  Notable for guitarists are the involvement of Italian guitarist and conductor Carlo Barone and a video link with American lutenist Paul O’Dette.  Head of the School of Music Adrian Walter and the ANU guitar students are participating as well.
